I moved with my family to Colorado when I was in high school and graduated from Cripple Creek-Victor High School, west of the Springs. My family had moved around a lot, so I decided to continue exploring new places and went to Hanover College in Indiana. I would drive back and forth for Winter and Summer break, and my heart would break every time I had to watch those mountains disappear in my rearview mirror. I am very happy to be starting my professional career and building my family (two dogs and my husband) in the state I love more than any other. When I’m not lesson planning, I take my two dogs (Lucy and Bebe) running or on an adventure in the mountains. I also enjoy rock climbing, and even rappeled in my wedding dress instead of walking down an aisle. In the winter, I ski at Winter Park Resort, where my dad works. When I’m indoors, I LOVE reading and writing my own poetry and short stories. My dream is to one day publish my own children’s book.
