Welcome to third grade at Maxwell Elementary School and room 180.  I am looking forward to having a wonderful year with your child.  Third grade is an exciting year of learning.  Our goal is for all third grade students to become successful, independent learners who love to read and write.  We will explore electricity, objects in the sky, Colorado, and Denver. 

I am Mrs. Rager.  This will be my eleventh year at Jessie Whaley Maxwell Elementary, my tenth year in 3rd grade.  I believe that communication and cooperation between parents, students, and teachers is a key to a successful year.  All children should purchase a student planner.  Each student records their homework daily in their planner. I check these every day so this is a great way for parents to communicate with me, as well as for me to communicate with parents.  There will also be a Friday Folder which will come home each week.  Please take the time to share this with your child 

Together we can make this a successful year for each child!
