Dixie Neely

My name is Dixie Neely and I am thrilled to be back at Maxwell! Here is a little about myself. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee. I moved to Colorado in 2007 to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder (GO BUFFS!). After graduating in 2011, I traveled to Thailand and taught English for a year. When I returned from Thailand, I decided teaching was my passion, so I went back to school and received a Masters in education from the University of Denver (GO PIONEERS!). I was first introduced to Maxwell’s wonderful community when I got the opportunity to student teach here in the 2014/2015 school year, while completing my Master’s program. I have spent the past two school years teaching at Stedman Elementary, but I’m excited to be returning to Maxwell and co-teaching with Mr. Marshall, Mrs. McDermott and Ms. Olsen! Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, running, hiking, and scuba diving. I am a proud aunt who loves to spoil her two young nieces!
