Julie Rager

I am Mrs. Julie Rager. I have taught third grade at Maxwell for many years. I grew up in Denver and graduated from Denver Public Schools. I earned my Masters of Education from Regis University. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family. I am lucky that my children and grandchildren live nearby.
Third grade is a fun and very important year for learning. Students have been working on their reading skills for several years. This year they will start using that skill to gain knowledge. Critical thinking and independence are two key areas of focus for third graders. Writing clearly and concisely is an important area of focus in all subjects. It is an important lifelong skill to be able to clearly express your thoughts in writing. Technology will be important this year, as well. Students will need to be able to use technology effectively for all subjects. Students will be using Eureka math and will spend a lot of time working on multiplication, division, and fractions. Third grade is a wonderful year of learning and adventure and I am looking forward to another great year. I hope that every student leaves third grade with an enduring love of learning!
