[:es]Janette Barela began teaching in DPS in 1994 and is entering her second year as the Library Technology Teacher. She is proud to say that all of her years teaching have been in the wonderful Montbello community (which is also where she received her education – Montbello High School Class of ’87). Mrs. Barela received her Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1996, specializing in Early Childhood Education (grades ECE-2), and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. In 2011 Mrs. Barela became a National Board Certified Teacher. In 2016, Mrs. Barela will complete her 2nd Master's Degree in Information Literacy and Technology. When she’s not working or studying she enjoys spending time with her family and sports. She is an AVID Broncos’ fan and loves football of any kind.[:en]Janette Barela began teaching in DPS in 1992 and is currently the Library Technology Teacher in our Colorado Department of Education Highly Effective School Library. In addition to her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from University of Northern Colorado (1991) , Mrs. Barela has two Master’s Degrees- one from the University of Northern Colorado in 1996, specializing in Early Childhood Education (grades ECE-2), and one from University of Colorado at Denver in 2016, in Information and Learning Technologies . In 2011 Mrs. Barela became a National Board Certified Teacher. She enjoys spending time with her family , reading and sports. She is an AVID Broncos’ fan and loves the Colorado Avalanche as well.
