[:en]Hi everyone! My name is Krystyl Maksom and I am so happy to be part of the Maxwell community! I graduated from Seton Hall University of New Jersey where I earned a Bachelor of Education degree specializing in Elementary Education and Music. Teaching and working with kids is my passion. From swim lessons to private music sessions, math tutoring to long summer camp weeks, one thing that stood out to me is experiencing growth in myself as an educator and my students. "Let's help each other grow" is a quote that resonates with me. It brings a sense of community and willingness to be kind and support others. That is one aspect that is important to me and my classroom. Starting my teaching career in New York and New Jersey was an unforgettable experience and I am excited to build friendships, create memories and share knowledge with the families at Maxwell. Being active and positive are two characteristics that define me. Some hobbies I enjoy are painting, playing the piano and guitar, rock climbing, participating in aerial yoga and hiking with my dog, Kia. You can find me in room 204, please come by and say hello![:]
