Great news for families with little learners! If you missed Round 1 of SchoolChoice or are new to Denver Public Schools, we still have spots available in our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program for 4-year-olds for the 2026-27 school year. Round 2 enrollment is open!
Enrolling your child in preschool at Maxwell ensures they receive high-quality, foundational early education in a nurturing environment that fosters essential social-emotional growth and successfully prepares them for kindergarten and beyond.
Students who turn 4 years old on or before Oct. 1, 2026 are eligible for ECE-4. All students are eligible for up to 15 hours per week of free, state-funded preschool through Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) in the year before kindergarten.
